Remote Infrastructure Engineer

Join our Infrastructure Operations team! As an Infrastructure Engineer you will play a pivotal role in driving technical projects, while maintaining BAU operations to sustain day to day functionality of our infrastructure. We’re looking for someone passionate about problem solving, collaborating across multiple teams to support our business objectives and deliver high quality services.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Actively participate in project-based work, responsible for timely and efficient planning and execution of tasks within the project framework.
• Develop, implement and maintain infrastructure as code for various environments.
• Work closely with our operations and engineering teams to ensure seamless deployments of projects while ensuring ongoing availability and reliability.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by introducing new technologies and practices.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions within the team to facilitate smooth transition of project work into our BAU stream that have been implemented as part of the project work.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience with cloud services (GCP, AWS, etc.) for deploying and managing virtual machines and other cloud based resources.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows systems, with some experience in MS SQL.
• Working knowledge of Linux with some experience / familiarity with containerization technologies. (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly communicate regular updates on project progression and highlighting blockers as necessary.
• Excellent scripting skills in at least one of the following: Python, Powershell, Shell, Ruby.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. 

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with Apigee / ApigeeX.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Terrafrom).
• Certifications in cloud technologies or linux / windows administration.
• Experience in a restricted highly regulated environment (PCI).
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
