Senior FE/Fullstack Developer

Our client is an R&D company specializing in providing advanced security technology to governments, aimed at preventing terrorism, insurgency, and organized crime. They develop mission-critical hardware and software used in demanding environments, focusing on extensive in-house research and development in mobile phone and satellite communication. All solutions are developed in-house.

The company operates with a project-oriented structure, enabling maximum flexibility and customization for clients. Projects are executed by dedicated engineering teams, supported by a Science Department, with a focus on reducing the time from research to product delivery.

In this senior role within the Development Department, you will draw on the expert skills of team members and help leverage the collective competence of the team to solve complex tasks.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Strengthen the front-end team and contribute to the development and evolution of products.
• Lead a small team of front-end developers, coordinating and reviewing their work.
• Decompose existing front/back-end services into a more generic architecture with structured API definitions.
• Transform high-level requirements and preliminary architecture definitions into technical requirements and interface specifications.
• Design complex solutions that align with the overall project/product architecture.
• Make decisions on code structure and technologies used.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of web development technologies (Node.js, React, TypeScript, Webpack, SASS/LESS).
• 5+ years of experience as a full-stack developer and web app architect.
• Experience leading teams.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker).
• Due to the nature of the work in the defense and security sector, candidates must be citizens of an EU/NATO country.

Nice to Have:

• Understanding of web security principles and secure practices.
• Familiarity with GitLab development workflow and CI/CD.
• Technical writing skills.
