Role Overview
We are looking for a Databricks System Engineer and Administrator to join our team in Slovakia. In this role, you will manage and optimize our Databricks platform, ensuring seamless performance and supporting large-scale data processing and data science use cases. Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Databricks Workspaces and components.
- Monitor cluster performance, optimize resource utilization, and ensure stable daily operations.
- Manage insurance-related Big Data and Data Science use cases.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot Databricks-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure End2End solutions.
- Apply DevOps methodology to improve routines and procedures.
- Create and maintain platform documentation.
- Ensure seamless data platform operations and performance optimization.
Experience and Skills Required
- Hands-on experience with Databricks administration (Azure preferred).
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud Infrastructure, APIs, and management consoles.
- Proficiency in scripting (UNIX Shell, Python, etc.) and tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Jenkins, Maven, Azure DevOps, Terraform, and job automation.
- Experience with Cloudera or similar platforms and migration knowledge is a plus.
- Fluent English (B2), Slovak, German, Hungarian, or Bulgarian is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in a related field.
- Soft Skills: Problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, integrity, teamwork, and clear communication.
